COTTAGE RENOVATION

This kitchen balances warmth and functionality with a seamless blend of traditional and modern elements. Every detail of the millwork was designed to enhance both efficiency and aesthetic appeal.

The kitchen island, floating shelves and custom range hood were crafted from walnut, finished with natural soy oil in a satin sheen to highlight the wood’s organic beauty. A custom oil finish creates a striking two-tone effect from the door panels to the frames, as envisioned by our client. Designed for everyday efficiency, the island includes thoughtful storage solutions like walnut drawer inserts, a paper towel pullout and custom compartments for utensils, cutlery and plates—keeping everything organized and within reach.

The perimeter cabinetry is built from PG maple and painted in Benjamin Moore’s “Kitty Gray”, providing a soft contrast to the warmth of the walnut. Silestone Ethereal Glow countertops introduce a durable, light-reflecting surface that enhances the kitchen’s openness. Custom mouldings—including crown, baseboards and under-cabinet light valances—ensure seamless integration of the cabinetry into the space.

Recessed strip lighting maximizes visibility, while custom drawer inserts optimize storage. Classic bronze hardware and handcrafted zellige tile add depth and texture, tying the space together with an understated elegance.
