CO-FOUNDER & BUSINESS MANAGER
I started my career in a small wood shop, gaining a strong foundation in woodworking and cabinetmaking over 10 years. A brief move to BC for the 2010 Olympics and a high-production wood shop reinforced my passion for quality craftsmanship over mass production.
Returning to Ontario, I transitioned into custom cabinetry, moving from hands-on building to engineering, drafting, and eventually sales and project management. My experience collaborating with designers sparked my appreciation for the creative side of cabinetry, leading me to explore both design and execution.
When Covid led to my layoff, I knew it was time to build something of my own. That’s when Pride was born—a company dedicated to showcasing refined cabinetry with a distinct style and commitment to craftsmanship. Today, we stand on a foundation of hard work and quality, earning a reputation I’m truly proud of.
On a personal note, my wife Alannah and our two boys, Hunter and Lennon, mean everything to me. We love spending time outdoors—biking, hiking, canoeing, and camping in the summer, then cozying up with movies and board games in the winter.
Moving to Parry Sound was unexpected, but it quickly became home. The beauty of Georgian Bay and the warmth of the community make it hard to imagine living anywhere else.

CO-FOUNDER & PRODUCTION MANAGERI started my journey in cabinetry at 18, working in a small three-man cabinet shop. Without CNC machinery or modern equipment, I relied on hand tools and traditional techniques, mastering the fundamentals of woodworking. This hands-on experience gave me a deep appreciation for the craft.
Eager to expand my skills, I moved to a larger cabinet shop in Chatham, where I worked in both cabinet assembly and the finishing booth. This experience gave me valuable expertise in finishing and assembly. After relocating to the Kitchener area, I joined a high-end kitchen and bath cabinetry company specializing in custom luxury cabinetry and furniture. Over eight years, I managed the cabinet assembly department, leading a team of six and developing extensive knowledge of hardware, from hinges to specialty components.
My technical expertise led me into cabinet engineering, where I trained in Cabinet Vision software. I eventually became the lead hand in the engineering department, supervising a team of seven. But my passion remained in craftsmanship, not management, which led me to refocus. During this time, I met Adam Brown, and we bonded over our shared dedication to quality woodworking.
Together, we co-founded Pride Kitchen & Bath, bringing years of experience, precision and craftsmanship to every project. Our goal is to create high-quality custom cabinetry with expert attention to detail.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my wife Eva and our two children, Adam and Noah. We embrace country living just outside of Mitchells Bay, enjoying hiking, camping, swimming, fishing and nights around the fire. My sons and I also train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing at Armstrong Academy of Martial Arts, sharing a passion for discipline and personal growth.
Our Approach
-
At the core of our approach to material selection is an unwavering commitment to quality. We believe that the materials we use are integral to the longevity, function, and aesthetic of every project we undertake. While we prioritize sourcing materials from North America, we are not bound by geographical limitations when it comes to meeting our high standards. If the materials produced domestically do not meet our rigorous quality criteria, we do not hesitate to explore international sources.
This philosophy extends to our approach with non-domestic materials. We understand that quality can be found across the globe, but we are equally discerning when sourcing from abroad. Every material, regardless of its origin, must undergo a strict evaluation process to ensure it meets our expectations for durability, performance, and design integrity.
Our dedication to quality is not just about choosing the best materials available—it’s about upholding a standard of excellence that aligns with our values. We refuse to settle for anything less than the best, ensuring that every project we complete is a testament to superior craftsmanship and enduring quality.
-
We believe in precision, which is why we measure twice to ensure we cut only once. Every corner of your space is thoughtfully assessed to ensure our custom cabinetry and millwork not only make the best use of the space but also enhance your daily routines.
Our process begins with creating detailed drawings, elevations, and renderings, allowing our clients to fully visualize their space before construction begins. This careful planning ensures that every aspect of the design aligns with their vision.
Our clients value our dedication to getting every detail right, as we work tirelessly to bring their ideas to life with flawless execution and an unwavering commitment to perfection.
-
We approach every project with a holistic perspective, viewing your home, boathouse, or cottage as a complete, cohesive space, even when we’re focused on just one room. We understand that each space is a reflection of your unique lifestyle and personality, and it's essential that our products not only complement the existing design but enhance it.
Our goal is to create pieces that seamlessly integrate with the overall architecture and aesthetic of your space, ensuring they feel like a natural extension of your home. Whether it's custom cabinetry, millwork, or unique furnishings, we prioritize the flow, functionality, and visual harmony of each room within the larger context of your entire property.
By keeping the big picture in mind, we’re able to craft solutions that are both beautiful and practical, ensuring that every detail contributes to a space that feels connected, thoughtfully designed, and tailored to your needs.
-
We take a collaborative approach, working closely with the architect, interior designer, and builder to seamlessly integrate our work into the overall project. By becoming an active part of the team, we ensure that all parties are aligned and on the same page throughout every phase.
We place great value on clear, consistent communication and believe it is the cornerstone of a successful project. Through ongoing collaboration, we’re able to address any challenges that arise, make informed decisions, and deliver a final result that exceeds expectations. Our commitment to teamwork ensures a smooth process and a finished product that reflects the vision of all involved.

Our Process
-
You or your designer/builder send us drawings by email and request a quote. Before pricing the project, we outline a rough timeline to confirm availability. Our recommended minimum timeframe from initial contact to installation is four months. For example, if a project needs to be installed by June 1, we prefer to be contacted no later than February 1.
-
It typically takes 2–3 weeks to complete pricing and make any necessary changes before awarding the project. A project is considered awarded once we receive the initial deposit. At this stage, we secure a spot in our production schedule, provide milestone dates, and place the project in the queue for drawings.
-
One of the first steps in our process is appliance selection. A kitchen should be designed around appliances, not the other way around. While design and layout help determine which appliances to purchase, finalizing the design before selecting appliances often results in revisions. To avoid this, we strongly recommend appliance decisions early in the process.
-
We produce finish samples early to keep the project moving. Standard samples take 2–3 weeks, and custom matches may take longer. Quite often, a design is finalized before samples are approved, which can cause delays. We emphasize this step early, especially when working with designers who approach us with a completed or nearly completed design.
-
Once drafting begins, we closely study the designer’s drawings, replicate them as accurately as possible, and flag any areas of concern. We offer modifications based on our building experience and issue drawings for initial review. This step involves one round of major revisions and two rounds of minor revisions. Additional revisions will be subject to additional costs.
A design is considered signed off once all details—including materials, finishes, accessories, and decorative hardware—are labelled and approved by signature.
-
Our typical turnaround from sign-off to installation is 8–12 weeks. Smaller projects may be completed sooner, while larger ones may take longer depending on our workflow. Throughout the production process, we stay in close communication with all parties, monitoring both our schedule and the site schedule to ensure a smooth process.
-
About one week before delivery, we confirm the arrival date and outline steps for preparation. We require that all spaces where cabinetry will be installed are clear of tools, supplies, and debris. Walkways must be clear to allow easy access for tools and materials.
In winter, we remind clients to ensure that driveways and walkways to the cottage are cleared of snow and salted for safe access.
-
During installation, we check in periodically and provide guidance as needed. Once the install is complete, we schedule a final walkthrough with the site supervisor, designer, or client to ensure everything meets expectations.
